Everyday should be a safety day and every month a safety month, but I do agree having specific months for safety topics is a good thing. June is Firearm Safety Month. The National Shooting Sports Foundation’s Project Childsafe has posted some great information, and we should all read and learn about putting an Emphasis on Firearm Safety as a Critical Part of Home Safety.
There are so many great links in this information to help ensure you are fully aware of the responsiblities that come with gun ownership. If you are considering owning a gun, or thinking about owning a gun, The Road to Responsible Gun Ownership is a great tool.
“As gun owners we all have a responsibility to learn how to use and secure firearms responsibly.”
-Joe Bartozzi, NSSF’s President and CEO
